ios App Store Deployment for Bevy

ECOSYSTEM research · Game Development

Here’s the iOS/App Store equivalent of the Steam deployment checklist for a Bevy game.

1. Understand the release shape

For iOS, you are not uploading a raw Rust executable. You are shipping an Xcode iOS app bundle whose executable is built from your Bevy/Rust code, signed by Apple tooling, archived, uploaded to App Store Connect, then distributed through TestFlight or the App Store.

As of June 23, 2026 , the current Bevy release line is Bevy 0.19 , but Bevy itself still warns that it is early stage and may have missing features, sparse docs, and breaking changes. Treat mobile shipping as doable, but not as turnkey as desktop or web. ([Bevy][1])

Apple’s current upload requirement is also important: since April 28, 2026 , apps uploaded to App Store Connect must be built with Xcode 26 or later using the iOS 26 / iPadOS 26 SDK or later . This is the SDK used to build the app, not necessarily the minimum iOS version you support. ([Apple Developer][2])

2. Basic Bevy project setup

Your normal Bevy project can start like this:
